A look in to a familiar scripture // acts 2:38

Being oneness apostolic the keystone scripture is Acts 2:38, i have my personal translation of this verse quoted by so many.

Verse: Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

(the verse .. broken down)

Then Peter said unto them,
Repent,
and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

numero uno in this verse : REPENT!

now the 2nd implied here can be either Baptism OR Holy Ghost.

simply put its saying that Repentance should be done before you get baptized or before you seek/receive the Holy Ghost.

Repentance is the most important thing in that verse because the other two rely on it. Baptism before repentance is just getting wet, and, in my opinion, you will not appreciate it as much.

a study on repentance, baptism, Holy Ghost & my scriptural backed thoughts on Acts 2:38 will be coming. i do not know how soon.

and as always, keep praying for me!!
