Bible Nugget: The Tabernacle

The tabernacle is an interesting study, i do not plan on going into it much (its a nugget after all, not a full course meal!)

Three materials were used with the furniture

  • Brass - symbolized fire and judgement
  • Gold - symbolized kingship or deity
  • Silver - symbolized the blood (temple coin was silver, remember Judas used a silver coin!)

Tabernacle was 75 feet wide and 150 long and surrounded by a 7-1/2 ft white linen fence

seven pieces of furniture & how it relates to salvation:

  • altar of fire - repentance
  • brass laver - water baptism
    • hold's 3,000 baths (about 3,000 gallons) which is interesting that 3,000 were saved on the day of Pentecost
  • candlestick - receiving the holy Ghost (getting the light)
  • table of shew bread - eat of the bread - the hidden manna
    • Jesus said "i am the bread that come down from heaven"
  • altar of incense - shows prayers of the saints
  • the veil - revelation of his deity
  • ark of the covenant - into his presence

The furniture layout was a cross also!!

Bible Nugget:: First 10 Generations from Adam to Noah: The Meaning

This is fascinating when you get you understand this concept. The bible is full of amazing insight and bible gold-nuggets (small details that have great worth). This is one such nugget. This names are all found in Genesis 5. I hope to do more nugget posts, this is the first one.

To Sum this up:: Man (is) Appointed Mortal Sorrow; (the) Blessed God Shall Come Down Teaching His Death Brings (the) Despairing Rest!!

a short writing on The mystery of 3 AM

ok so maybe i have forgotten a bit (see previous post!). Here is something I looked into after a bit of wondering about it.
its approximately about 3 am at this writing. I am currently listening to "revelation song" by Phillips, Craig & Dean.
The reason i post the time of the writing is well, its the topic of the writing.

The mystery of 3 am is very dynamic, it is said in the health field at this time that if patients do not remain stable they will turn for the worse or get worse at this time. My belief is this is a very special time. here is how one internet poster puts this:
The witching hour is the hour of midnight on a full moon. It is at this time that the witches spell casting powers are at their fullest. It is a time of change and transformation.

The history of this may be traced to the ancient times of the worship of Goddesses associated with the moon and fertility. As the moon waxes in its phases so do the powers of those, until they culminate at the full moon.
It is said by many to be woken up exactly at this time with the urge to pray. It is believed that Jesus died at 3 pm, so the direct opposite of that on the 12 hour clock is 3 am. This is another theory that was introduced.

This is just something to look up and to study, there are many different theories on this and ideas. I may do a follow up post on this, but I did want to post something and although while not a true bible study it does share something I know some people question.

~ until next time!

Knowing Body & Soul ...

yeah so the title dont make sense, and this will be a short post.

no scripture today but something to think upon! i enjoy my studies and posting them here but it is not complete enough to post here.

We should never fail to realize we are a immortal soul put in a mortal body. This flesh and present physical world will go but Lord Jesus and our Soul will always be around. What is physical cant become spiritual and what is spiritual cant become physical. Flesh wars against the "spirit man" (per say) and this is the reason the flesh nature should be subjected under the spiritual side.

There is more in existence then the physical world you see and you will never fully comprehend everything that is available or being offered until your "spirit man" is strong then your "physical man"

who is winning in you life? i believe the answer will be in who gets fed the most?

Mistakes & failures always working Good for God!

Intro scripture: Romans 8:28 All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.

Further scripture:  Jonah 1:1-17  Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,  (2)  Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.  (3)  But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.  (4)  But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.  (5)  Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. (6)  So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.  (7)  And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.  (8)  Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?  (9)  And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.  (10)  Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.  (11)  Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.  (12)  And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.  (13)  Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.  (14)  Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.  (15)  So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.  (16)  Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows. (17)  Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

I know that was long and that was the entire first chapter of the book of Jonah but to recognize that what we do even in our carnality God can use for His purpose and His glory.  The reason I posted it is so you can observe the change between the mariners on the ship goes from (v5) “cried every man unto his god” to (v16) “Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows. “  It is not right what Jonah did and he did direct opposite of God’s commandments but in Jonah’s flesh God used for His purpose, His will and His witness.

This is not a give-me to sin or disobey it is however just one more reassurance to let you know that your past God can use it for good and not for evil!

Jer 29:11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
