100th post! .. WORSHIP!

i know i dont post on here as often as i should. i have been crazy busy with school lately and have had to invest more on that then what i have been doing on this blog.

i was listening to a message the other day about worship. Worship is an amazing thing and if you remember Lucifer was the leader or worship in heaven that ended up falling off the boat because of his pride and ego. lucifer had jewels on him and when he stood in God's light it would reflect amazingly. the message i was listening to brought out many points and God first and foremost wants worshipers and to do it fully and sincerely.

Bro Arnold offers my examples and one of which is even after david lost the baby he went and worshiped.

God will only accept full and sincere worship because anything less then that is putting other God's before him, so with that being understood those who worship him with all their heart, soul and mine must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Worship, not warship! God is amazing and when you turn your energy to worshiping doors open that was locked and bolted shut, things begin to happen but you must meet genuine worship first!

using the Bible as a random answer generator has hazards lol

thought this was kind of funny and proved a point

a wonderful illustration of the hazards of using the Bible as a “magical answer generator”, and also of reading verses out of context. I might be paraphrasing it slightly, but here’s the gist of it…

There was a man who was feeling depressed and confused, and he thought he’d look for answers in the Bible. So he opened it up at random, closed his eyes and dropped his finger on the page. When he opened his eyes, he saw that he had selected Matthew 27:5, and he read:

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

“Oh dear”, he thought, “that doesn’t sound very encouraging! Let me try it again.”

So he repeated the exercise and this time his finger fell on Luke 10:37, which said:

Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

“This really isn’t working very well,” he thought. “But let me give it one more try.”

Again he opened the book and selected a verse at random. Again he looked at where his finger lay, this time on John 13:27, and he read:

God Working! quick tid-bit

notes from a sermon watching tonight:

plan, place, provision, purpose w00t! (ex, gen 22)
plan - (v1) "take your son your only son and offer him to me"
place - (v3,4,9) Mt Moriah
provision - (v8) God will provide! (the key is to know you are in God's Will!) as they come up one side, the ram is coming up the other side! the ram was caught up (which can be deadly) so God took the fight out of the blessing! (hint people: ask God to take the fight of the blessings!)
purpose - the whole purpose was to prepare a mountain and place for the crucifixion!

Speaking audibly is very important! (your prayers of 3 months sounds like a continuous prayer to him in eternity!)

when god gives you a word , follow it exactly (do not take away OR add to it! just the specifics!)

PROVISION: (came after disaster. when you have the plan & place then provision is always next!)

shows that you might get side tracked, goes from resisting wind to side track wind to a dangerous wind.

(v19) throw stuff overboard

> Paul is bit by a snake & is not sick, this bring attention to him & he begins to do miracles!

28:7-9 publius is healed

28:10 & 11 they give him all the stuff they needed for the trip to Rome! Even got the Cadillac yacht of the day!

28:16 Paul is given the ability to wear when he wants & has a roman soldier to where ever he goes.

28:30&31 paul has a house for two years at his own expense, preaching Jesus without being hindered

PURPOSE:

Paul was helped out in Rome & was blessed!!

1 John 1:5 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

believe he hears you when you ask & the petition is done! believe you receive those things before you receive them

(self written) theory o' the day: people are going to talk so be assured of that. the question is this, when they are commenting as they will are you going to be proud of your achievement or attempt at achievement versus your lack of even trying? The most regretted things in life is not that which one has done (even failed attempts) it is that which has not done or too scared of to try.

what is 75 years (est. avg. life time) on this earth being dictated by people who are not even sure of them self in the first place (obviously, they don't or they wouldn't try to dictate other's life)? those who matter don't mind & those who mind don't matter.
